about
Tin Can Phone is an up and coming rock/reggae group in Austin’s ever-expanding music scene. TCP’s live shows bring a house party feel, while spreading a positive message on an array of topics ranging from politics, to destiny, to run-ins with the law.
Matt, Josh, and Bert are childhood friends from the small beach town of South Haven, Michigan and have spent the last 15 years playing in bands all over the country. Soon after their arrival in Austin in 2007, they formed Tin Can Phone with Matt’s cousin Tyler. Since their formation, TCP’s sound has evolved to incorporate atmospheric guitars, organic rhythms, and synthetic beats while still holding true to their roots.
